Services
When you're installing or replacing a fence in the garden, you need to work out the best height before you start.
These vary depending on your local authority but generally, walls and fences in back garden should be a maximum height of two metres (just over six and a half feet) and half this height of one metre (or 3.2 feet) in front gardens.
You will need to apply to your local council for planning permission if your fence is more than one metre high and next to a highway used by vehicles or a footpath as well as for any fences or walls over two metres high elsewhere.

At AWGS Fencing, we stock both green and brown timber - but what is the difference and which should you choose for your gardening project?
Here's all you need to know on timber colours, treatments and availability.
Green timber has a naturally-pale, wooden colour but you will also note a slight green tint or fleck caused by the pressure-treating process - an essential treatment to extend the life of your timber.
The chemicals used in pressure treatment are copper based which reacts with both the sap of the timber and the air and then oxidises, creating green flecks on the surface.

Our gates come with standard hinges, latch and lock bolts but can be customised if required.

I had Paul and his team come and replace some fencing for me.
I was very pleased with the work, I had been recommended Paul by a friend, and he wasn't wrong.
They worked hard, got the old fence removed, replaced with concrete posts and pressure treated panels.
It seems good quality stuff much better than you'd get from a diy chain.
They didn't make much mess, took away the old fence pieces and in a couple of days I had 15 new panels down one side of the garden.
Paul and his team, couldn't do enough for me, they quoted me a fair price, I would recommend them to anyone.
