We also offer a bespoke service where our experience ensures that we construct a fence to suit whatever project you have in mind. Whether it is a pedestrian gate at the side of your house or a pair of gates across the drive, we can supply and install the gate of your choice to the space you have.

From a garden hedge to the creation of a new woodland, we can advise, supply and plant good quality native hedging mixes and trees to suit any location.
Services
At Broad Fencing our experience ensures that all our fencing is built to last from good quality materials from trusted local suppliers.
We can advise on bespoke garden projects as well as standard fencing installations, repair work and the best types of materials to use.
Most fences are erected to mark a boundary.
In its simplest form this could consist of a number of stakes knocked into the ground with two or more strands of wire strung along and stapled to them.
Therefore, you need to ask yourself 'what is the purpose of this fence, what do I require it to do?'
At Broad Fencing we supply and erect a lot of standard garden fencing that is required to mark a boundary and stay up in a strong gale.
That is why I usually recommend concrete posts and closeboard type fencing or panels.
We also supply and erect a lot of non-standard fencing that is built on site to do a specific job, look more attractive or respond to a difficult site location.
The 'specific job' could be an acoustic type fence to reduce noise from a nearby road.
In this case the customer in Sudbury required a strong fence that was 2.4m high, would keep his dogs in and with access to the ditch on the other side of the fence for maintenance.
All of our top quality gates can be made to measure from FSC registered softwood or seasoned oak hardwood and manufactured by two East Anglian companies.
We can install a full selection of domestic pedestrian and driveway gates, and agricultural field and estate gates.
If you find an image of a gate you like, then we can also get this made to your requirements.
The softwood gates are usually pressure-treated with preservative during the manufacturing process, but any tongue and grooved gates will need to be painted or stained by hand.
Sometimes all it takes is a bespoke structure or installation to really set off your garden and give it an original feel.
It maybe that you love roses and would like a timber pergola to let them ramble over, or maybe a decked seating area to relax on in the evenings.
We can create and install bespoke garden structures to enhance and compliment any garden.
DECKING - This can be a very versatile installation.
It can be used to link different areas of the garden via timber walkways.
Used to increase the height of a patio area in a sloping garden or as a stand alone sun deck.
From a garden hedge to the creation of a new woodland, we can advise, supply and plant good quality native hedging mixes and trees to suit any location.
As with a fence, you need to ask yourself 'what do I want from this hedge or tree planting scheme?'
If you want privacy, then you might want to plant an evergreen hedge ie.
Another consideration when planting trees is how big they will get and how quickly they will grow.
In tree planting schemes the trees are grown quite close together (3m apart is standard) in order that they grow quickly as they compete for light and thus produce straight stems rather than bushes.
