I have studied at various sites across the countryside including Morton Morrell in Warwickshire where I achieved a National Certificate in arboriculture (tree surgery) and horticulture, and Barony College in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland where I undertook a forestry and woodland management course.
I then spent five years gaining experiance in tree work, forestry, and fencing with various independant contractors, at this stage in 2009 I decided it was a wise move to establish Dartmoor rural services with a view to offering a comprehensive countryside management package.

Tree surgery - this involves working on the canopy of a tree using specialist techniques and equipment such as ropes and harness, a good tree surgeon knows how different species will respond and ensures the trees thrive after the work is carried out.
All tree waste will be removed leaving a clean tidy site, or customers can choose to keep the logs and woodchip for their own use.

Amongst our (always growing) selection of fencing machinery is a digger mounted postdriver, with this outfit we are able to access soft grounds, woodlands and other sensitive sites leaving minimal ground damage.
It also has the capacity to reach over ditches, walls and streams where other machines would founder.
There is also a hydraulic post hole borer for manually installed fences such as gates/post and rail and other precision applications.
